Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things
Industry 4.0 represents the fourth industrial revolution in manufacturing and industry. Factories will become increasingly automated and self-monitoring using large-scale M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) deployments to current production facilities.
CHALLENGE
Companies has to start with IoT Initiatives and enable their products and services for innovative requirements and customer needs. Big players offers expensive solutions without real experience cases. Focus of research was to evaluate a generic approach and follow the goal – think big, start small.
RESULT
Together with IoT40Systems we developed pilot solutions for Smart Factories (Sensor-Integration with rule based business process integration), Smart Cities and Smart Marketing. The solutions are generic, use the IoT Platform Caberra or can be driven by Platforms like Salesforce, MS Azure, SAP Leonardo or Siemens Mindsphere.
